Obituaries

Services for Lois Marie Dalton Norman, 79, of Pottsboro, Texas, will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026, 11:00 AM at Dannel Funeral Home in Sherman. Pastor Tony Norman, brother-in-law, will officiate. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Alec Mohon, Clay Mohon, Cody Mohon, Luke Umsted, Daniel Waldrum, Adam Schettler, and Beau Brooks.

Lois was born in Sherman, Texas, to Roy and Thelma Dalton. She was raised in Sherman and attended S&S Consolidated schools. Lois married Mike Norman on August 19, 1963 and they began a 63 year adventure. They lived in Texas all their lives and had 2 daughters, Tonya and Tamyra. Mike was a homebuilder and Lois was his right hand. They lived a wonderful life and enjoyed time together and with their family.

Lois loved shopping. She loved going to Las Vegas mainly for shows and shopping. Lois was a huge fan of the band Alabama, often travelling to see them in concert. She loved her poodles, especially Anna. Lois loved her family above all. She will be greatly missed.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Thelma Dalton, her in-laws JW and Rachelle Norman, brother Jerry Dalton, and son in law Jeff Greene. She is survived by her loving husband, Mike Norman of Pottsboro; 2 daughters: Tonya Greene of Bradenton, Florida, and Tamyra Mohon of Pottsboro; 4 grandchildren: Alec Mohon of Rockledge, Florida, Clay Mohon and partner Bree Overman of Whitesboro, Kayte Mohon and partner Luke Umsted of Whitesboro, and Cody Mohon of Pottsboro; 2 great grandkids: Avery Mohon and Brooklyn Umsted; 2 sisters: Carolyn and Art Waldrum of Sherman and Norma and Tony Giarraputo of Denison.
