Send Flowers Lora Ooten, 74, of Whitesboro, died Monday, January 25, 2016, at Texoma Medical Center in Denison. Graveside services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 27th, at Callisburg Cemetery. Ben Willingham, of Callisburg Church of Christ will officiate. Lora was born November 20, 1941, in Sherman, to Frank and Ella Neal Sisemore. She graduated from Sherman High School, and later attended nursing school where she received her LVN accreditation. In 1961, she married Gerald Ooten in Sherman. They were blessed with three daughters. She enjoyed gardening and quilting, but her first love was playing board/card games with her family. She was a member of the Callisburg Church of Christ. Preceded in death by her parents, and daughter Tanya Alley, Mrs. Ooten is survived by her husband Gerald, of Whitesboro; daughters, Donita Mallak and husband Shawn, of Frederica, Delaware, and Tammy Ladner and husband Ray, of Kiln, Mississippi; brother Gary Sisemore and wife Sue, of Amarillo, Texas; 4 grandchildren: Tara Mallack Johnson, Ryan Ladner, Candace Ladner Jones and Chantelle Alley Surginer; and 10 great-grandchildren. Memorial donations are great appreciated in her honor to the American Cancer Society.
