Marceline 'Honey' Taylor, 84, of Sherman, passed from this life on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at The Homestead of Sherman. Her family will receive friends from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Friday, March 6th, at Dannel Funeral Home in Sherman. Graveside services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 7th, in Van Alstyne Cemetery. Mark Taylor will officiate. Honey was born June 28, 1930, in Austin, TX, to Chester Leon and Margie Wallace Day. She was married to Don Webb Taylor, Sr. in Durant, OK, on August 24, 1947. They enjoyed nearly sixty wonderful years together, before his death in 2004. Honey was a proud homemaker her children were her pride and joy. In later years, Bingo was a favorite pastime. Preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, and her daughter Cynthia Ann Meinen, Honey is survived by son Don Webb Taylor, Jr. and his wife Twala, of Mesquite, TX, daughter Mona Robnett and her husband Brad, of Gunter, TX, and dear friend Jeanne Harrison, who was like family to Honey; eight grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and five great great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are encouraged to The Homestead of Sherman, at 1000 E. Sara Swamy Dr. in Sherman, TX (75090), or Heart to Heart Hospice, at 600 E. Taylor in Sherman, TX (75090).
