Obituary For Margaret Cash Allen
Margaret (Cassie) Brown Allen January 20, 1961 ~ May 18, 2019¬
It still doesn’t seem real. That you can see someone on Thursday, and less than 48 hours later they are forever gone from this earthly place.
Cassie did nothing halfway. She wasn’t just a vegetarian, she was vegan. She didn’t just believe in Jesus, she stood on the corner in front of our church with a megaphone, witnessing to all who would hear her, until a policeman came over and told her to stop. She didn’t just love animals, she printed flyers and protested at the circus. She didn’t just write a check for a cause that she believed in, she fostered puppies, raised funds and organized events. She didn’t just scrapbook, she created masterpieces. She wasn’t perfect, and thank God for that. But that was Cassie … big hearted, fiercely loyal, hugely loving, incredibly compassionate, all-in. Smart, quick witted. Hilarious. English wasn't her first language; sarcasm was.
And, unfortunately, she didn’t just have asthma. She had the kind that would stop her from breathing no matter what she tried, until she could get to the ER for the big guns. This time, in spite of heroic efforts by emergency responders, it just wasn’t enough.
Cassie, I will treasure the rock that you painted the picture of Barry Manilow on for me. And the opal bracelet you brought back from one of your trips. Thank you for that time when I was a baby and you stopped me from falling by pinning me with your whole body between yourself and the bed. I will so miss your sarcastic and hilarious comments on my Facebook posts. You could always find the humor – and it was usually very twisted – in just about anything.
I love you. I miss you. You will always be my big sister. I’m so mad at God right now; he surely got this one wrong because NONE of us were ready to let you go. I thought we would have so many more years. Visits at the lake, our children’s college graduation, and all those other family things that we take for granted. I will take care of mom and dad, although not nearly as good as you would have. I promise I will look after Greyson, but I’m not too worried about that because you raised an exceptional and amazing young man. Fly high, sis. Breathe easy. Don’t be looking down on me at inappropriate times, okay? (I know you …) – Linda Parsons
Those left behind are: Cassie’s most precious treasure, her son Greyson, parents Chuck and Sandy Niemann of Denison, Texas; sisters Linda Parsons of Houston, Texas; Debra Hickey of Sherman, Texas, Barbara Wuebber and husband Scott of Belgrade, Montana, brother Chuck Niemann, Jr. and wife Pat of Denison, nieces Grace Parsons of Norman Oklahoma, Dawn Rennels and April Tocci of Sherman, nephews Aiden Tocci, Cody and Connor Niemann of Sherman, Texas, Christopher and Brian Wuebber of Belgrade, Montana and numerous beloved cousins, aunts and uncles.
