Obituary For Margie Morse

Sherman - Graveside Services for Margie "Tootsie" Dagnan Morse, of Sherman, who died Sunday, February 14, 2016, at Homestead of Sherman will be Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at West Hill Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Shawn Paschal officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Dannel Funeral Home. Margie "Tootsie" was born September 20, 1926 in Southmayd, TX the daughter of Louise Roeder and Tone Dagnan. She attended Southmayd schools and graduated as Valedictorian of her class. She married Theodore B. Morse June 11, 1946 in Sherman, TX. She was a lifelong resident of this area, a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans auxiliary and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sherman, TX. She owned and operated T and T Grocery at the corner of Center and Rusk streets in Sherman and also owned the Luella Super T Grocery for 20 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Theodore Morse on September 7, 1991; brother in laws, Tommy Lawrence , Wayne Ross, Bill Homer, J. B. Morse and four nieces. Surviving her are a Son, Jerry Morse of Sherman, TX; Daughters, Pat Pierce and husband Stan of Tom Bean, TX, Tammy Blankenship and husband Allan of Denison, TX; Sister, Jamie Ann Adkins (Jr) of Howe, TX; (3) Grandchildren, Pam Dodson, Steve Pierce, and Alicia Blankenship; (2) Great Grandchildren, Shelby Dodson and Avery Dodson; (1) Great Great Grandchild, Amy McClain; sister in laws, Retha Mayo, husband Kenneth, Edna Morse, Claudette and Jo Ann Morse; one special niece, Cheryl Hickman along with numerous nieces , nephews and cousins. Serving as pallbearers will be Steve Pierce, Avery Dodson, Tad Murley, Tracey Goldston, Chad McClain and Jeff Farris. Arrangements are under the direction of Dannel Funeral Home, Sherman, TX.
