Obituary For Mark Niehaus

Mark Leslie Niehaus, 60, of Sherman, Texas, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2017. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 24th, 10am at Allen Bible Church, 109 N. Greenville Ave, Allen, Texas 75002. Mark was born on May 7, 1957, in Kansas City, Mo. to Niel and Marilyn Niehaus. Mark is survived by his mother (Marilyn), stepfather, (Lester Bradley), his brother Mike and wife Carolyn, and son, Jacob. Mark played football at Jackson Jr. High School and went on to attend North Garland High School. He spent 40 years in the construction business, assisted with the construction of the Fort Worth Stockyards and contributed to many other large construction projects in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Mark loved spending time helping his family with various home construction and remodeling projects. In his later years he turned his focus to air-conditioning where he became an expert in this field. Mark loved spending time with family, telling stories, cooking (especially cheesecake) and fishing. His favorite hobbies were drawing, wood buring, candle making and guitar playing. He always took the time to focus on his nieces and nephews and was often the instigator of getting the kids in trouble. Mark had a special way of relating to children and went out of his way to make them feel important. He also loved his lifelong friend Linda Fullington. He was a giving person who always thought of others ahead of himself and would often give his last dollar to help a friend. Mark was preceded in death by his father, Niel. Flowers may be sent to his brother, Mike Niehaus, for transport to the Memorial Service at Allen Bible Church.
