Obituary For Martha Youngblood

Martha Nell Wallace Youngblood was born on September 24,1922 in Wheelock, Texas to Hugh Henry and Verda Christine Wallace. She passed away in Dallas, Texas on June 11, 2017. Martha grew up in Hearne, Texas where she met and married William Clarence Youngblood. They were married for 62 years until his death on February 24, 2004. Together they had a beautiful daughter, Olivia Ann, who was the light of their lives. Martha was a woman of strong faith, a devoted wife and beloved mother. During Clarence’s extended illness, Martha was a faithful caregiver who demonstrated great strength, devotion and enduring love. She was often described as one of the last true southern ladies because of the care and thoughtfulness she showed to all who knew her. Martha is preceded in death by her husband William Clarence Youngblood and brothers Zane Grey Wallace, Arnold Wallace and Billy John Wallace. She is survived by her daughter, Olivia Ann Youngblood, sister-in-law Elizabeth Wallace, niece Helen Elaine Frazier (Lex), and nephew Zane Edward Wallace (Virginia). The family would like to express their appreciation to all of Martha’s doctors, friends and neighbors for their ongoing love and support. Dannel Funeral Home in Sherman, Texas is handling the arrangements. The service celebrating Martha’s life will be held at Sparkman-Hillcrest Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, June 14, 2017. Reverend Dr. Neil G. Cazares-Thomas of the Cathedral of Hope in Dallas will officiate. The family will host a reception at the funeral home at 11:00 am. You may sign the online guestbook at Dannelfuneralhome.com or Sparkman-Hillcrest.com.

My dear precious Olivia, We were so sorry to hear about Nell and very sad that we could not pay my last respects to her. Since Kay called and gave us the news Dan and I have been reminiscing about all the wonderful times we used to have when our families shared the holidays together and then all our good times on Northwest Hwy. Seems like such a short time ago. We will be praying that you can feel God's comfort and love surrounding you as well as ours. Dan and Danna

Olivia, our thoughts and prayers are with you during this most difficult time. I can't begin to tell you how much my family loved your mom, as well as your dad. There was not a day went by when we saw her, she had a smile on her face. She would always give us the most encouraging advice and life stories. Our two boys will always remember the love that your parents provided to them. Your mom will truly be missed. Olivia, your strength during this time will come from God. Trust in Him and know that your mom will be okay. We love you dearly! Les and Michelle Eackles ~ Michelle Eackles, Sherman, Texas

I can't begin to express how very sorry I am for your loss. In the short time I have known Martha I came to know just how sweet she was. She always had a compliment for me or a concern for my loved one. Her sweet smile will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you Olivia. ~ Kathy Lenington, Addison, Texas
