Obituaries

Mary Helen Brock, 86, of Sherman, passed away on Tuesday, May 9th at her residence. Mary was born and raised in Fort Worth Texas. Mary married to Charles Brock on June 24, 1950; they were married for 57 years until his passing in 2008. She was a charter member of West Sherman Baptist church, which she attended faithfully until her health no longer permitted her to do so. She was a 50-year member of Eastern Star and had been involved in volunteer work with Reach for Recovery for several years. Mary enjoyed baking and crocheting and was generous in sharing the fruits of her labors with family and friends. Mary is survived by her daughter, Glenda Brock of Sherman; son, Kent Brock and wife Brandi, grandchildren, Bryce, Jacob, and Ella Brock of Sherman; surrogate son, John Hunt of Tom Bean; and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Grand Central Station Soup Kitchen in Sherman. A graveside funeral service will be held Monday, May 15 th , at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
