Obituary For Mary Langford
Send Flowers Mary Louise Langford June 11, 1924 - June 24, 2014 Mary Louise Langford, 90, of Sherman, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at Texoma Healthcare Center, surrounded by her loving family. Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 26th, at West Hill Cemetery. Rev. Danny Wood, of West Sherman Baptist Church will officiate. Mary Louise was born June 11, 1924, to Carole and Ima Parkins Wilson. She grew up and graduated high school in Whitewright, Texas. She married Paul Langford August 9, 1941. They spent many years working together as owner/operators of several Grayson County nursing facilities, she as the administrator and he as general manager. Paul preceded Mary in death October 16, 1989. Mary was an active member of West Sherman Baptist Church, until her health would no longer allow her to attend. After being home-bound for some time, she made the decision to move into Texoma Healthcare. Mary is survived by her children: James ‘Bub’ Langford, Douglas Langford and wife Terri, Wanda Howard and husband Dwight, and Donna Walker and husband Larry, all of Sherman; Tommy Langford and wife Terrie, of Southmayd; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law Ina Langford of Van Alstyne; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two sisters, Joy Connelly and Ouica Walker. The Langford family wishes to thank Guardian Hospice for the care and compassion given to Mary in the last few weeks of her life. Serving Mrs. Langford as pallbearers will be several of her grandsons. In lieu of flowers, the family would be honored by memorial donations to Guardian Hospice at 614 N.
