Obituary For Mary Lou Reynolds
Graveside services for Mary Lou Reynolds, 74, of Denison, Texas will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, November 15, 2021, at West Hill Cemetery in Sherman, Texas. The family will receive friends at Dannel Funeral Home in Sherman, Texas from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Sunday, November 14, 2021. Mary left earth’s bounds and entered her Heavenly Home as she fell peacefully asleep in the embrace of her Savior, Jesus Christ, early Wednesday morning, Nov. 10, 2021
Mary Lou was born March 23, 1947, in Bonham, Texas, the daughter of Ruben Herschel Goodwin and Lee Frances Fogle Goodwin. She attended North Fannin, Gober and Bonham schools. She married Daniel Dennis Reynolds on May 2, 1979, at Hagerman Baptist Church. Mary was employed at Texas Instruments in Sherman for over 20 years before retiring to become a full-time homemaker and mom to Daniel’s two sons, Chris, and Seth. Then life as she knew it changed forever when her precious daughter, Casey Nichole, her sweet Angel girl, was born. The family lived in Hagerman, Austin, and Whitesboro for many years prior to settling in Denison. A strong, God-fearing matriarch, Mary was the very foundation that their family was built on; her love made their house a home. She was always joyful, had a contagious laugh, and appreciated the small things. She made sure her children were safe and secure, under Momma’s wings and loved them unconditionally as Jesus does. Mary loved spending time with her family, especially her very special grandson, her baby, Tristan. Being his “Nana” and watching him grow into the kind, compassionate child he is was the joy of her life. Her favorite time of the day was when she and Casey prayed before going to bed. Mary’s fervent prayers have helped mold the person Casey is today. She enjoyed watching movies with her daughter. Her favorite movie was “Dirty Dancing” which featured a song very dear to her, “The Time of My Life” by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes. Mary was preceded in death by her younger sister, Deronda Lee Goodwin (2/21/1961), her father, her mother and bonus dad, Stanley Dodson, stepsister, Rhonda Dodson Lantz and father and mother-in-law, Dennis Jack Reynolds and Lorraine Avalon “Todi” Reynolds.
Mary Lou leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Daniel Reynolds of Denison, TX; her only child, Casey Nichole Reynolds Niroula (Dhiraj) and their children, Tristan Johnson and Adia Niroula of Denison, TX; sons, Chris Reynolds (Cyndy) and their children, Jaxson and Austin of Allen, TX and Seth Jackson Reynolds (Jennifer) and their children, Sterlyn, Parker, Madeline, Luke, Shianne and Christian of Pottsboro, TX ; brother, Jackie Goodwin (Regina) of Bonham, TX; step brother, Alan Dodson of Denton, TX; two step sisters, Phyllis Dodson Ceglia (Tom) of Durango, CO and Terry Dodson Bailey (Robert “Bob”) of Walnut Creek, CA; and 5 nieces and their families, Doris Whitworth (Charlie) of Whitewright, TX, Lea Dawnette Goodwin Faulkner (Shon) of Telephone, TX, Debra Kay Goodwin Thomas and Keri Deronda Goodwin, both of Bonham, TX; Rikki Jo and Eli, Micah, Taylor and Calvin Jr., and numerous extended family and friends.
