Obituary For Matthew Maret

Matthew Joshua Maret left this world too soon at his residence in Sherman on July 30, 2017. Josh was born January 14, 1981 in Sherman to James R. (Bob) Maret and Rebecca Dianne Mathis. As a youth he was always active in baseball, basketball, soccer, and church. After graduating from Sherman High School he attended Grayson College, where he made the honor roll and received an Associate’s degree and two certificates of completion. He then continued his education at Texas A & M Commerce, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree. He has been employed at Ruiz Foods since 2008. Josh gave his love unconditionally and had more love to give than there were others to receive it, and there is no stronger bond than the friendship and devotion Josh could give, always concerned with the wellbeing of those he loved. His beautiful smile and laughter will be missed forever. A relentless music lover, he loved sharing his knowledge of music and sports, especially football. Josh was preceded in death by his mother Rebecca. He is survived by his father James, brother Travis, loving stepmom Sandra Melton and husband Danny, grandparents Claudette and David Bateman, several aunts, uncles and cousins. Arrangements are with Dannel Funeral Home in Sherman. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 1pm at Dannel Funeral Home.

Sandra and family, How does one begin to send the perfect comforting words in such a time as with this loss? Please know that I'm asking the Lord to hold you and family close, right under the pinion of His wing, so close you can hear His heart beat and feel the depth of His comfort! The Lord surely has special need of Josh in heaven. You all continue to be in my prayers. ~ Mary Berry, Sherman, Texas
