Mearl W. Turner, 91, of Denison, passed away Monday, August 11th at The Terrace Nursing Center in Denison. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 14th at Friendship Cemetery in Sherman. Pastor Leland Samuelson will officiate. Mearl was born February 5, 1923 in Bailey, TX, to Acton Wrather and Elizabeth Covey Wrather. She was married to Jack Turner until his death. She was a member of the OES Chapter #183 of Sherman, and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Howe, TX. She is survived by her children: Larry Turner(Sharyn) of Tulsa, OK, Carol Crites of Denison, TX, and Nancy Schram of Hurst, TX; daughter-in-law Billye Turner of Bells, TX; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one son Billy Jack Turner.
