Obituary For Melissa Louise Thompson

Melissa Louise Thompson, 45, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2025, at Texoma Medical Center, in Denison, Texas. Melissa was born to Frank Allen and Virgina Eichler on September 4, 1980, in Sherman, Texas.

An amazing and caring woman, Melissa loved, above all, her family. During the time she pursued her master’s degree, she dedicated herself to taking care of, and raising her son Hunter. On top of being a wonderful mother, Melissa was also a nurse, spending 15 years of her career working as an ER nurse. Through her endeavors, she was able to not only save, but touch people’s lives.

Melissa is survived by her life partner, David Webber; son, Hunter Thompson; father Frank Allen; grandmother Genele Eichler; and her dog, Poppy Rose.

Melissa, your watch has come full circle. It is now time for you to rest. We have it from here.

Melissa may be gone, but she will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, Melissa.

A gathering for Melissa will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Dannel Funeral Home in Sherman.
