It is very hard to try and choose just one memory to write about! I first met Mike back in 1998 (I believe) at which he took a job working at The Computing Edge in Ardmore, OK. The first day on the job he was as quiet as could be, but just happened to overhear a conversation I was having with someone else about bowling. Keep in mind I was NOT any kind of bowler at that time, but he joined the conversation and from that day on we became really great friends. Fast forward the next couple of years and we would have all sorts of adventures up and down the road going to bowling tournaments, or LAN parties with our friends. He was actually the first person to give me the nickname "G-Man," which I am known by amongst all my friends now! My fondest memory would be of our Summer Classic tournament in Tulsa, OK, in 1999! We met up with some fellow bowlers, and friends of ours, from Durant, OK, and just had a great weekend trip. Between the tournament itself, the shots in the bar at the Hilton Hotel, and swimming in the pool afterwards, there was plenty of laughter and camaraderie shared by all. This was my first ever bowling tournament, and Mike was more than awesome in teaching this rookie the nuances of tournament bowling! Even after bowling in national tournaments, and plenty of state tournaments, this one tournament is my most fondest, largely due in part by my friend Mike! As we all mourn his loss I will certainly keep his memory alive, and all the things I have learned from him will keep shaping the rest of my life!
