Obituary For Miguel Rangel

Miguel Rangel Jr. 82 years old of Sherman, Texas passed away on June 1, 2017 in Sherman, Texas. A Rosary will be held at 5:00pm on June 4, 2017 at Dannel Funeral Home, 302 S. Walnut St. Sherman, Texas and visitation will be from 5:30-7:00pm. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held 10:00am June 5, 2017 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 727 S. Travis St. Sherman, Tx. with Father Antonio Aureus celebrating the mass. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Dannel Funeral Home. Miguel Rangel Jr. was born in Southmayd, Texas to Gumecinda and Miguel Rangel Sr. on January 13, 1935. He went to Sherman schools. He married Caroline (Taraborelli) Rangel on September 20, 1975 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sherman, Texas. He graduated from Sherman High School in 1953. He worked as a warehouseman for Anderson Clayton/Kraft for 20 years. He was a veteran and served in the Army as a mechanic. He was honorably discharged 1957. Miguel Rangel Jr. is preceded in death by his father Miguel Rangel Sr., his mother Gumecinda Angel Rangel, his sister Josephine Sandoval Moreno, his brother Ignacio Sandoval Sr., his brother Vincent Sandoval. Miguel Rangel Jr. is survived by his wife Caroline (Taraborelli) Rangel, his children Gilbert Johnson, Marcilina Johnson, Joseph Rangel, Donny Rangel, Johnny Rangel and Diana (Rangel) Horn, 20 grandchildren, 21 great- grandchildren, his brothers Charles Rangel, Jose Paul Rangel, Daniel Rangel, his sisters Delores Ramirez, Sylvia Fitzpatrick, Mary Tolbert and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Miguel Rangel Jr.’s grandsons: Ethan Rangel, Preston Fuselier, Aundre Rangel, Bryce Rangel, Nicholas Horn, Anthony Horn and Miguel’s great-nephew Jordan Fitzpatrick The family of Miguel Rangel Jr. wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Wilson N. Jones dedicated SICU staff for giving outstanding care to Mr. Rangel in his last days. Thank you Lindsey RN, Eddie RN, Justin RN, Derrick RN, and Jennifer RN for your dedication and patient care.
