Obituary For Monette Presley Wible
A Celebration of the life of Monette Wible, 68, of Sherman, who passed away on Thursday, December 6, 2018, will be held on Monday, December 10, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Dannel Funeral Home. Rev. Joe Ed Goolsby of First United Methodist Church in Sherman will officiate. Interment will follow at West Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Sunday, December 9, from 2:00 until 4:00 PM at Dannel Funeral Home. Monette Dahl Wible was born in Dallas to Harry and Ramona Dahl. She attended Dallas schools and graduated from Bryan Adams High School. She worked at several places as a bookkeeper including Dallas Handbag, where she met the love of her life, Ben Wible. They would fall in love and become husband and wife exactly one year from the day they met in 1977. They moved to Sherman and began their life on the family farm and ranch. She had always loved to cook and create new dishes, which led her to her calling in life. She was a chef who specialized in desserts. Her ideas and recipes have been incorporated into many well-known resturants and stores nationwide. Her position at Yahoo Baking Company in Sherman was the head of research and development for almost 40 years. There never a “favorite” dessert she created, only the latest. They had their first child, Ramona, in 1981 and were blessed with their son Brian in 1983. Monette was a wonderful mother and matriarch of the Wible family. She taught her kids responsibility, integrity, grit, love, compassion and work ethic. She was a loving wife who loved travelling with her husband through his position working for Texas Farm Bureau which took them to many places around the nation. She never grew tired of being around cattle and in the fields at home. She loved to fish in the stock ponds. Whether it was riding horses, driving the tractor, or hauling hay, it was exciting for her. She never missed her children’s activites whether school or sports. She was their biggest fan. She would sew uniforms or attend practices, games, and dance recitals. She was also a professional sports fanatic. When it came to the local sports teams; Dallas Mavericks, Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Stars, or the Texas Rangers, she could teach anyone the intricacies of rules and strategy for whatever sport. One of Monettes greatest joys was becoming “Nonna” to Austin, Brooke, and Amelia. She loved her family above all else and made great sacrifices for them. She was very proud of her friends she made on the many functions and trips she would attend through the Texas Farm Bureau. She and Ben had plans to go on a “second” honeymoon to New Orleans in January of 2019 as the final trip of Ben’s elected term with the Farm Bureau. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband, Ben; daughter: Ramona Wible Gordon and husband, Steven; son, Brian Wible of Sherman; 3 grandchildren: Austin, Brooke, and Amelia Gordon; 2 sisters: Robin Page of Dallas, and Georgene Harris and husband Jerry of McKinney; brother George Dahl and wife Hali of Pottsboro; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. You may sign the online guestbook at www.Dannelfuneralhome.com.
