Send Flowers Neva Lee Russell December 28, 1920 - July 13, 2014 Mr. Neva Lee Russell, 93, of Sherman, passed away Sunday, July 13th at Texas Health Presbyterian/WNJ. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 16th, at the Church of Jesus Christ-Latter Day Saints, with Bishop Juan Rodriquez officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Biz Byrum Cemetery in Tom, Oklahoma, at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 17, 2014. Mr. Russell was born December 28, 1920, in Arkinda, AR, to Charles E. and Lula Jane Whisenhunt. He attended public school in Foreman, AR. He proudly served his country in the US Army Air Corps (USAF) for over ten years. He retired from civil service after more than fifteen years at Perrin Air Force Base. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman. He was also quite gifted with his hands, even building his own house. He married Fannie Calloway in Great Bend, KS in 1943. She preceded him in death in 2005. Mr. Russell was also preceded in death by his parents, his step-father Albert Eugene Smith and one brother, Novell Russell. He is survived by his children: Larry Russell and wife Vickie, and Kenneth Russell and wife Debra, all of Sherman; grandchildren: Sean Russell(Sharon), David Russell, Kimberly Poort(Darren), John Scott Russell and Aaron Russell(Amy); great-grandchildren: Clay Russell, Taylor Russell, Alexis Russell and Tori Murray(William); one great-great-grandson Carson J. Murray. Serving as pallbearers will be: Sean Russell, David Russell, John Scott Russell, John Boyle, Aaron Russell, Kimberly Poort and Clay Russell.
