Obituaries

Norma Jo Dannenberg (Johnson), 87, peacefully passed away Thursday, June 15, 2023, at Focused Care of Sherman. She was born April 3, 1936, in Pottsboro, Texas, to E.L. Johnson and Ruth Short. Norma married the love of her life, Donald E. Dannenberg, on November 7, 1954. They spent the next 67 years together and she stood by Donald’s side during his 20-year Air Force career. Norma and Donald traveled the country and world together but always returned to their beloved Cavalry Baptist Church.

Norma and Donald were married for 67 years before he passed away last fall. She is survived by granddaughter Stephanie and her husband David Nipper; grandson David Morris and his wife Kim; great-granddaughters Stacy, Heather, Kathrine, and Marah; and great-grandsons Caleb, Kolbie, and Dakota.

The family wishes to sincerely thank Calvary Baptist Church, Focus Care, and Hospice Plus for their care of and devotion to Norma in her final days.

Graveside services will be on Friday, June 23, at 9 a.m. at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, 5805 Texoma Parkway, Sherman.
