I remember the first time I saw Aunt Owanna, a young bride, when Uncle Clyde Dement brought her to our home in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Then the last time at cousin Dalane and John Shipp's, in Merit, Texas, about three years ago at a Webb family reunion. We always appreciated Uncle Clyde and Aunt Owanna's care and support during times of trial through the years. ~ Joanna Thomason Smathers, Baton Rouge, Louisiana

I had the privilege of talking with Sister Owanna, just before Sunday school, prior to her passing. She was standing there looking at me with that beautiful smile of hers, not saying a word. The smile spoke volumes of her joy in The Lord Jesus and her love and support for me and the minor task I was doing. I smiled back at her and said something to the effect, as we think of those who have gone to be with the Lord this year, just think of what glory we will behold, when we get there! As I recall, her smile actually got a little bigger and she said something to the effect that's right. This dear saint, who greeted me when I was a little neighborhood boy, will no doubt greet all of us who have trusted in the Salvation of The Lord, Jesus Christ, when we arrive in heaven. ~ Tony Blackburn, DENISON, Texas
