Obituary For Patricia Ann Mullins

With profound sadness we announce our beloved Patricia “Pat” Ann Schiller, 70, of Sherman, TX, slipped away peacefully after her courageous fight with lung cancer on January 14th, 2019 in Denison, TX.

Pat was born in Sherman, TX to William and Velma Schiller on January 18th, 1948 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Sherman, TX. She attended school at Sherman High School where she graduated. She met the love of her life her senior year of high school, Jerry Alan Mullins, and were later married on April 9th, 1965. Pat was a homemaker for many years before then working in retail. Pat loved her family and friends more than anything. She was a special soul that touched the hearts of anyone who encountered her. She had a love for God, and that love shined through her. She made it her mission to show us all how to really walk in faith and trust in God's plan, despite fear or pain. Her faith was a beacon for others in finding their path to God. Pat also enjoyed joking around and had a laugh that resonated. She enjoyed life to the fullest and was always open to new experiences. Some of the hobbies she loved included; reading, writing, movies, travel, nature, music (her husband was in a rock band), and even dragons! She had a joy for life that encompassed her soul and everyone around her.

Pat is preceded in death by her father, William James Schiller, whom passed when she was 7. Mother Velma Aline Carpenter, and sisters Barbara Sue Lakey and Shirley Jean Sutherland. The love of her life, Jerry Allen Mullins passed in February of 2010, where she never remarried. She now rejoins them all in Heaven.

Pat will be sorely missed by her son’s, Christian Ashley Mullins and spouse Cisco Valencia and Bryan Anthony Mullins and her daughter Sarah Amanda Mullins. Patricia had many grandchildren as well whom she adored. Grandson Bryan Austin Mullins who is a Marine and stationed in Okinawa, Japan and Grand-daughters Katie Marie Mullins and Sophia Gabriella Mullins.

The family of Pat Mullins wishes to extend our sincere thanks and love to all of her friends and family whom she held dearly, for their thoughts and prayers. Also her medical team, Dr. Roque and staff, TMC hospital and the amazing nurses/aids/doctor’s and staff, and lastly, Heart to Heart hospice and staff who were there to ensure comfort at the end.

The remembrance of her life will be 2 pm January 19th at Dannel Funeral Home in Sherman, TX. Friends and family are invited to come and share their memories and celebrate her life with us.
