Patricia Ann Denney, 70, died Friday, Jan. 3, 2014. A celebration of her life will take place on Sat, Jan 18, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at Cox Building Playhouse in Plano. Pat was born March 19, 1943 in Greenville, Texas. She had a variety of interests from growing and showing African violets, gardening, needlepoint, parliamentary law, movies, theatre, reading and travel. She traveled across the United States and Canada and to London, Italy, Ireland and Paris (all of the trips on her bucket list). She lived her passion, flying airplanes as a mission rated pilot for Civil Air Patrol in Wisconsin and Nebraska. She has been skydiving, hot air ballooning, in a helicopter, and flew a glider in the Rocky Mountains. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver Carter and Dorothy Ragan. Survivors: Son, Darren Denney and wife, Hali of Grand Prairie; daughter, Anna Denney of Flower Mound; grandchildren Kaylynn and Spencer and her faithful companion, her Doberman, Morgan. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Doberman Rescue of North Texas or Operation Kindness.
