Patrick Henry "Pat" Hughes age 83 of Pottsboro passed away in Sherman on Friday Jan. 6 2012. Graveside services for Mr. Hughes will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday Jan. 10th at Preston Bend Cemetery in Pottsboro with pastor Leland Samuelson officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Dannel Funeral Home. Pat was born in Houston on April 14 1928 to Patrick Henry Hughes Sr. and Johnnie (Murphy) Hughes. He was educated in the public schools and graduated from the University of Texas. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He married Juanita Morrow on Dec. 27 1952. He was a retired school teacher. Preceded in death by his parents and his wife. Pat is survived by two sons: Mark Hughes and Gary Hughes and wife Cathy of Pottsboro a daughter Lee Ann Hughes of Pottsboro, grandchildren Amber Kirby and Andy Gunn, 3 great grandchildren, a brother Judge John N. Hughes and wife Judge Jean Hughes of Houston, former sister-in-law Billie Hughes of Katy Texas. Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army P.O.
