Obituaries

Patsy Ruth McClure Dittemore, 89, of Sherman, passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2021, at Carrus Specialty Hospital in Sherman. A private graveside service will be conducted at Hall Cemetery.

Patsy was born in Sherman, Texas, February 6, 1932, to George and Minnie McClure. A graduate of Sherman High School and Austin College, Patsy taught in the Sherman ISD. She participated in the Sherman Service League and was a member of First Christian Church and later Covenant Presbyterian Church.

She married Calvin Lewis Dittemore on December 22, 1955, in Sherman. They enjoyed 58 years of marriage in the home they designed and built together. Art was her passion, and she continued to paint until the end of her life.

Patsy is survived by her daughters: Janna McGee (Bill), of The Colony, and Mori Watson (Craig), of Sherman; grandsons: Scott McGee, of Austin, TX, Brady McGee (Allison), of Charlotte, NC, Will Watson (Keri), of Sewanee, TN, Capt. David Watson, of Ft. Hood, TX, and Sam Watson (Ashley), of Hot Springs, AR; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, and her sisters, Betty Jean Mahaffey and Mary Frances Reeder.

The family welcomes memorial donations to Home Hospice of Grayson County, or Covenant Presbyterian Pre-School.
