Obituary For Paula Welch

Funeral services for Paula Welch, 54, of Sherman, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 21st, at Grayson Bible Baptist Church. Rev. Roy Webster will officiate. Interment will follow at Luella Cemetery. The Lord called Paula home on Monday, February 17th, at Texas Health Presbyterian/WNJ after a brief illness. Paula's family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 20th, at Dannel Funeral Home. Paula was born January 25, 1960, in Sherman, the daughter of Billy Franklin and Mary Shehane-Inman. She graduated from Killeen High School in 1978. She later went on to receive an Associates Degree in childhood education/development. She was a caring wife, mom and grandma. She loved her family, and her grandbabies were her pride and joy! She enjoyed taking care of her family and always planned special things to do with the grandkids. She worshipped the Lord, loved reading her Bible, always had Andy Griffith playing on the television, and a glass of iced tea near at hand. On February 26, 1983, she married Charles C. Welch of Sherman. They were inseparable and had many years of wonderful marriage. She loved taking care of her ‘Welchee’. He could not have asked for a more perfect wife. She was, indeed, his gift from God. Paula moved to Sherman in 1981 and worked for Playmates Daycare for nine years. Her proudest career accomplishment was opening Paula’s Little Friends daycare facility, which she ran successfully for several years, until choosing the life of a full-time Grandma. She was a member and faithful servant at Grayson Bible Baptist Church. She often said her church family was where you could find her true friends. Her favorite scripture verse was Philippians 4:8. Paula is survived by her husband Charles; her daughters: Charity Jasper of Sherman, Carissa Welch of Sherman, and Charish Doty and husband Zack of Bells; grandchildren: C.J. Jasper, Casey Jasper, Chrislynn Holt, Harley Holt, Sterling Holt, Charleigh Doty and Nathaniel Doty; and brother Bobby Gene Franklin of Denison. Pallbearers will be Stanley Welch, Albert Welch, Robert Welch, Charlie Bridges, David Staggs, and David Duke. If desired, the family appreciates memorial donations to the Care & Share Ministries of Grayson Bible Baptist Church, 4400 E. Hwy 82 in Sherman, TX 75092.
