Obituary For Peggy Lewis Fain

Peggy Ruth Lewis Fain 86 formerly of Seagoville TX passed away peacefully on Tuesday March 27 2012 in Plano Texas. Graveside services will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Whitewright Texas on Monday April 2 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Dannel Funeral Home of Sherman is in charge of arrangements. Peggy was born in Seagoville Texas on July 15 1925 to Roy Bunyan Lewis and wife Edith (Bowen) Lewis. She graduated from Seagoville High School in 1942. Her family moved to Dallas Texas and she enrolled in college at what is now the University of North Texas. Peggy enjoyed college life and made many friends. She was honored to be nominated for campus beauty. After college she came back to Dallas where she met her husband to be Manton Nicholas Fain Jr. They were married in Rockwall on October 2 1948 and enjoyed almost 63 years of marriage before his passing on September 4 2011. Peggy and Manton were avid travelers throughout the United States Central America South America and Europe. They loved to travel with their family and friends and enjoyed making friends along the way. Peggy loved to cook and had several hobbies throughout the years but her main passion was reading. She was a former member of the Braniff book review club a volunteer at the Frontiers of Flight Museum and a member of the Daughters of The American Revolution. (DAR) also a lifetime member of Lovers Lane United Methodist Church. Being an only child Peggy loved a large family with lots of kids and later on grandkids. She was quick-witted and loved to laugh. She had a lifelong love of animals especially cats. Peggy was preceded in death by her father Roy Bunyan Lewis and mother Edith (Bowen) Lewis beloved husband Manton Nicholas Fain Jr. and great-grandson Carrington Cash Wren. Surviving family members are daughters: Pamela Fain Burnett and husband Gary Patricia Fain Blackmon and husband Randy Pricilla Fain Anderson and husband Robert. Sons: Manton Nicholas Fain III and wife Susan Matthew Lewis Fain and wife Angela. Grandchildren: Travis Fain Holly Fain Wren Juston Blackmon Jordon Blackmon Rachel Anderson Matthew Fain Manton Michael Fain Hannah Fain.
