Obituary For Ralph Carpenter
Ralph Morden Carpenter age 68 of Denison passed away on November 10 2011 at Texoma Medical Center of Denison Texas. Visitation will be held at Dannel Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday November 17 2011. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. also at Dannel Funeral Home on November 17 2011. Mr. Carpenter was born in Columbus OH to Elwood L. Carpenter and Jeanette (Morden) Carpenter. He graduated from North High School class of 1961. A proud member of the North High Polar Bear Alumni Association he recently enjoyed a wonderful 50th Class Reunion with many old friends some from as far back as grade school and kindergarten. He attended The Ohio State University and was a life long Buckeye fan. He was fortunate to attend many championship games and his enthusiasm for the team never wavered. He was a board member of The Ohio State Alumni Association of Dallas/Ft. Worth. Mr. Carpenter served 4 years in the United States Air Force serving at Lackland AFB Texas and Ellsworth AFB in South Dakota where he met his wife of 45 years.. He married Marjorie Louise Russell September 6 1966 at the chapel at Hickam AFB Hawaii. He had been associated with and represented the Michael C. Fina of New York for the past 11 years. His whole career was in Sales where he excelled as he was such a people person. An avid golfer he played courses all over the country and was a member of Canyon Creek Country Club Richardson TX and Tanglewood CC at Lake Texoma. Mr. Carpenter was preceded in death by his parents a dear aunt and uncle Mary and Nat Schreiner grandparents Ralph and Lonie Morden and William T and Myrtle Carpenter father in law Ronald Russell and sister in law Connie Russell Vanderkolk. He is survived by his wife Marge of Denison sons: Kevin Carpenter and wife Robin of Durant OK Keith Carpenter and wife Ashlee of Pottsboro TX and Kenneth Corey Carpenter and wife Jennifer of Virginia Beach VA. daughter Kari Boone and husband Joe of Plano TX. Also surviving his sister Mary Ann Davis of Dublin OH and mother-in-law Pat Russell of Huntsville AL niece and nephews Krista Addison Chase and Braden Moats of Dublin OH. Surviving grandchildren are Chance Carpenter Kylee Carpenter Kaleb Carpenter Easton Boone and new baby on the way. Hunter Jamison Mika McCraw and Kimber Carter are special new grandchildren to the family.
