Obituary For Randell Evans
Randell Halvin Evans, age 58, fell asleep in death on Tuesday, March 17, 2015, after an unexpected illness. He will be remembered for his outstanding kindness and his unwavering faith in his Heavenly Father, Jehovah God. Always extending a hand in welcome, Randell was known for his hospitality and big-hearted concern for others. Born on March 21, 1956 in Oklahoma City, he married Helen Lynne Wood of Bonham, Texas, on November 22, 1975. Together they happily raised 3 children in a Christian household engaging in the ministry and attending yearly conventions with their fellow believers. He was a well-respected minister of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Randell was a long-time resident of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma, residing in Durant, Denison, Sherman and Bonham. He was known in the banking industry, working for BankOne, Bank of America, Chase and Santander. Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Helen, of Bonham, Texas; his sons, Randy Evans of Corinth, Texas and Daniel Evans of Bonham, Texas; and a daughter, Rachel Evans of Brooklyn, New York. He is survived by a sister, Kaye Tumey of North Carolina and a brother, David Evans of Durant, Oklahoma. Randell was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Hickman Evans and Leona Joyce Deason. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 21 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 3210 East Lamar Street, Sherman, Texas.
