Obituary For Raymond Edward Brosofske

Raymond Edward Brosofske passed away January 6, 2022 at his home in Sherman Texas at the age of 101, six months from his goal of 102. He was born June 17, 1920 in Norwich Connecticut.

He was preceded in death by his mother Caroline (Boker) Brosofske and father Amiel Carl Brosofske who was Police Chief and Fire Chief and owned several businesses and died at the age of 33, and two grandchildren, Shawnn McNeiland and Ameil Brosofske.

Raymond married Marjorie Belva on January 1, 1944 who passed away in 2003. In 1939 Raymond served in the Marines guarding President Rosevelt. He also led a mission across the Pyreenes Mountains before WWII. He was discharged from the Army disabled. He then joined the Army Air Corp until he was disabled by an air crash. He served as a Training Instructor before he final discharge in 1944. Later Raymond became an Architect for Cambel & Taggert Associates designing hospitals in Panama, high rises in Houston, Dallas and many other locations across the United States. He also worked on the Astrodome, hotels and restaurants. He returned to work at the age of 85 building hotels. Raymond loved westerns and friends he met in Panama including actor John Wayne. He was raised by his Aunt Alice and attended Military School.

Raymond is survived by children: Tina Young of Sherman, Kevin Brosofske of Denison, Dana Brosofske of Colbert OK. Grandchildren: Christian McNeil, Dana Brosofske, Tina Gowan, Tiffany Tavera, Daniel Young, Michael Young and Michael Morris. Great Grand Children, Konnor McNeil, Keenan McNiel, Keely McNeil, Logan Bell, Velisa Brosfske, Rainau Brosofske, lilly Tavera, Julian Tevera and 15 others.
