Obituary For Richard Martin Reynolds Sr.

A graveside service for Richard Martin Reynolds Sr. of Sherman will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at Cedar Cemetery in Sherman. Reverend Danny Wood of West Sherman Baptist Church will officiate.

Richard Martin Reynolds Sr. was born April 21, 1940, in Sherman, Texas. He went home May 15, 2025, at the age of 85. And because of what The Lord Jesus Christ has accomplished on the Cross (John 3:16), he has reunited with his parents, Van and Louise Reynolds, his brother, Gary Reynolds, his daughter, Shelley Copeland and his wife, Joyce Reynolds.

Richard was a graduate of Sherman High School, a member and Deacon at West Sherman Baptist Church, and was a loan officer with several local banks. He was a big influence in many lives.

He leaves behind four grandchildren:

Josh Copeland and wife Carisa, Matthew Reynolds and wife Jessica, Kristen Bollier and husband Micheal, and Rebecca McMinn and husband Jacob. Five great-grandchildren: Chloe Bollier, Carter Copeland, Reily Reynolds, Norah Reynolds, and Grant McMinn.

A heartfelt thank you to the staff and administration of Cedar Hollow Nursing Home for the love and care they gave to "Papaw" and our family. Well Done.

A special thanks goes to my family. Sometimes in times such as this it brings out the worst in people, however it brought out the best in ours.

You are magnificent! Thank you.

Farewell Dad, and Godspeed.
