Richard Harold Rothwell Sr. of Garland Texas passed from this life on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at the Villa Asuncion Assisted Living Facility in Princeton TX. Richard was born in Hope Arkansas to Hanson and Nellie Denville Rothwell on February 4, 1941. He went to school for 12 years in Hope Arkansas, graduating from High School in 1959. He worked at the Hope Star newspaper, the Hope and Prescott Movie Theaters during his school years, and was a buyer and sales person in the retail industry, and a long distance truck driver later in life. He had a passion for sailing, photography and cars. His latest vehicle was a Mercedes Benz convertible that he loved to drive. Richard is preceded in death by his wife, Donneth Larue Rothwell, father Hanson Rothwell, mother Nellie Denville (Pernt) Rothwell and brother-in-Law Floyd Nations. Richard is survived by his children and their spouses, Rhonda and Keith Pryor of McKinney Texas and Richard Harold Rothwell Jr. and Julie Rothwell of New Boston, Texas; one sister, Gloria Nations; two Brothers, Ells (Buddy) and Jerry Rothwell; 5 Grandchildren, Sara Elizabeth Smith Rizkal, Levi Ryan Smith, Matthew Ray Smith, Anna Joy Rothwell Edmonds, and Sara Grace Rothwell, and a niece and nephews.
