Obituary For Robert Drure Veale

Robert Drure Veale, 82, of Ranger, Texas, drew his last breath on Earth and went to be with his Savior on June 5th, 2023 in Sherman, Texas.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. at Dannel Funeral Home, 302 S. Walnut Street, Sherman, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. at Parkview Church of Christ, 815 S. Dewey Avenue, Sherman, Texas, with Larry Tittle of Parkview Church of Christ officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Cedarlawn Memorial Park, 5805 Texoma Pkwy., Sherman, Texas.

Robert was born in Ranger, Texas to Carl Garland Veale and Eva Ruth Veale on October the 8, 1940. He attended school at Ranger High School in Ranger, Texas. Robert married his wife of 54 years, Rita Jolene Eubank on November 2, 1968, in Ranger, Texas. He earned a degree from Ranger Junior College and then spent the majority of his career as an Electronics Technician for Texas Instruments. Robert was a veteran of the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and spent almost two years of that service in Rota, Spain.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Ruth Veale; his sister, Beverly Jean Stine; and his baby brother, Carl Garland Veale, Jr.

Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Rita Jolene Veale, his sons Darren Robert Veale and wife Barbara, and Ryan Thomas Veale and wife Heather. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Kim Mefford, Jessica Escobar, Jacob Veale, Dylan Veale, Peyton Veale, Carson Veale, Austin Veale, and Hunter Veale as well as seven great-grandchildren, Ronnie Lopez, Hunter Mefford, Johnny Mefford, Bella Escobar, Conner Mefford, Angel Escobar Jr., and McKinley Mefford.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Veale, Dylan Veale, Carson Veale, Jeffrey Lawson, Angel Escobar, Sergio Lopez, Victor Howard, and David Ellis.

The entire family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff who cared for him in his final days and to the many loved family and friends who have surrounded us with love.
