Robert Alan Platt, 57, passed away on December 8, 2023; known to his friends and family as Bob. Bob loved life and lived it on his terms, always. He loved hard and was protective and loyal to those who were part of his inner circle.

Bob was born and raised in Texas and took great pride in being a Texan to his core. He was an old soul with a wild spirit. Bob loved his family wholeheartedly; he was especially close to his Papa and the two developed an unbreakable bond. In his late teens, Bob moved to California where he later met Robin, the mother of his children, Nate, Haileigh, and Taylor. His greatest honor in life was becoming a father and he loved his children fiercely. Bob eventually returned to his Texas home and later reconnected with his high school sweetheart, Missy, spending the last few years and his final moments with her. He had recently become a grandpa, earning the title of Pops, and loved his grandsons immensely. Bob was the life of every party and always told the best stories, although he could meet no stranger, Bob loved being in the comfort of his own home and watching the latest docuseries. He will forever be missed by his loved ones.

Bob is preceded in death by his father, Jacky Platt; his Nanny, Beatrice Ross; his Aunt Linda Berry; uncles Obie Berry and Danny Platt; and his grandparents, Jack Platt and Anne Cato.

Bob is survived by his wife, Missy; his children, Nate Spurgeon, Haileigh Guerrero and husband Will, and Taylor Platt; his stepchildren, Kayli Rushing and husband Blake, Jeremy Croney and wife Taylor; his Papa, Charles Ross; mother, Hope Samworth; his brother, John Platt; his grandsons; Nate and Luke Rushing and Miles Guerrero; along with many cousins and friends.

At his request, there will be no services. Those who knew Bob closely, know that he would rather you pour one out and raise a glass to the good times.
