Obituary For Ronald Dean Humphrey
Ronald Dean Humphrey, age 87, died of natural causes on November 28th, 2021, in Denison, Texas. Mr. Humphrey is survived by his wife, Elisabeth Humphrey of Denison Texas; his daughter, Sonja Borah, of Sherman, Texas; and his son, Gary Humphrey, of Frisco, Texas. Grandchildren Theron William and Connor Josef Humphrey, Colten and Danny Joe Borah, and Alexandria Reetz.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Beatrice Humphrey, of DeKalb, Texas; his father, Martin Elbert Humphrey, of DeKalb, Texas; and his brothers, Rockland, Stephen and Styles, and sisters Sharon and Gloria, of Texarkana, Texas.
Ronald Dean Humphrey was born on June 16th, 1934 in Clarksville, Texas, to parents Martin Elbert Humphrey and Beatrice Humphrey. He graduated from Grayson County College in Denison, Texas with a degree in Business. Dean was a great family man and a loving father. He married Elisabeth Popp in Bavaria, Germany, while serving in the US Army.
Dean was a social, active man, and a brother in the Masonic Lodge for the majority of his life. He enjoyed hunting and training bird dogs, in addition to collecting and restoring old cars. His family and friends will always remember him as an honest and hard-working man that enjoyed life and helping his family and others, and always standing up for what he believed.
A private celebration of life service will be held in December for the immediate family and by invite for friends. The family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers in memory of Dean.
