Obituary For Ronald Glenn McKinney

Monday, August 10, 2020 Ronald Glenn McKinney,49, passed in Hollywood, Florida while on vacation enjoying the things he loved to do.

Ronald was born to Roy McKinney and Ellen McKinney, April 2, 1971 in Sherman, TX. He graduated from Sherman High School in 1989 and attended Grayson County Community College. He later decided to serve our country and joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1991. After his service with the Marines he was a co/owner of an auto dealership in Dallas with his father and brother Chad, before finding his real niche and calling in the food industry. He learned the ropes working for several food distributors in Dallas before starting his own business as an independent self-proprietor in the food industry. He was successful, hardworking, self-driven and self-motivated. That afforded him the ability to travel and do all the things he loved and wanted to do. Ronnie loved his work and developed awesome relationships with his customers for many years because of his kind and generous nature with everyone he met. Ronnie would often help his customers out if they were experiencing any difficulty with only a handshake and a promise.

Ronnie loved to travel and was looking forward to a trip to Thailand and was awaiting the border reopening. He was very social and outgoing with everyone and enjoyed being with friends, grilling out, watching sports, going to the Dallas Cowboy games, riding watercrafts, being at poolside and beaches. Ronnie liked to make you laugh spontaneously and loved his music that seemed to be always playing rather it be playing on his mobile phone or truck all while busy doing his work that he loved.

Ronald is survived by his mother, Ellen McKinney of Sherman and half-sisters Valerie and Marcie as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Ronald was preceded in death by his father, Roy McKinney and brother, Chad McKinney.

Ronnie is now in the hands of our heavenly father in heaven and will be loved and missed by many as he was the love of our lives and will live forever in our hearts.

A Memorial Service for Ronnie will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Dannel Funeral Home. Pastor Brian Taylor of Forest Avenue Baptist Church in Sherman will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Holloway Cemetery in Luella.
