Obituary For Ronald Richard Kramer

Ronald Richard Kramer (Ron), 77, of Sherman, Texas, passed away on September 29, 2022. He was born in Des Moines, Iowa on February 5, 1945, to Richard L. Kramer and Violet B. Kramer (nee Arbtin) and graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Boone, Iowa in 1964. Upon graduation, Ron joined the United States Navy, serving as a dental technician aboard the USS Tidewater from 1964 to 1969. Ron was proud of his service to his country and served honorably during the Vietnam era.

After his discharge from the Navy, Ron married, raised a family, and had a career as a jeweler for many years, working for companies such as Zales and JC Penney. He retired in 1995 and spent his retirement years golfing and boating – his favorite pastimes.

Ron is survived by his children, daughter Janeen Brinkley and husband Marc of Sherman, TX and son Richard Kramer and wife Karen of Frisco, TX; his siblings, sister Lori Lydon of Ankeny, Iowa and brothers Gary Kramer of Sherman, Texas & Jack Kramer and wife Belinda of Lakeland, Florida; five grandchildren: Adam Landry, Brandon Heath, Casey Heath, Kristen Kramer and Kaitlyn Kramer and one great- granddaughter, Lexi Landry; nieces Deann Figley and Lauren Kramer; nephews Christopher Kramer, Jim Lydon, and Nathan Kramer, as well as numerous cousins and friends.

Funeral mass to be announced as well as internment in the National Cemetery in Dallas, TX.

    For anyone who is wondering, Dad will be interred at the Dallas-Fort Worth Memorial Cemetary on December 9th at 11am.

    Rest in peace my old Boone Iowa neighborhood friend! Us 'kids' had some great times together and I remember them with great fondness. Our condolences to your family.
