Obituary For Roseland Lee Coker
Roseland Lee Coker (Frailicks), 70, of Sherman, Texas, passed away on April 15, 2020 in Plano, TX. In honor of Rose, a Celebration of Life will be held at Trinity Lighthouse Church which will be scheduled at a later date.
Rose was born in Clovis, New Mexico to Jimmie Lee and Roland Miller Frailicks on January 17, 1950. After graduating from high school in Tom Bean, TX, she married Roy Don Coker on August 17, 1967 in McKinney, TX. She graduated from cosmetology school in 1970 and worked as a hair stylist for 50 years, creating life-long friendships throughout her career.
Rose was a member of Trinity Lighthouse Church, serving as the nursery director for over 25 years. While in this role, she ministered to many people - both young and old. As a child, she dreamed of being a missionary, not knowing that her greatest mission work would be leading people to Christ while caring for our next generation. Her foundation of Christ was built while spending time with her grandma, Alma Estelle Miller- Hayes (Mama Hayes). If you ever met Rose, you could not help but notice her genuine laugh and contagious smile. She sincerely loved and served her community passionately.
Rose is preceded in death by her mother, Jimmie Lee Davidson, of McKinney, TX; father Roland Miller Frailicks of Sherman, TX; sister Deborah Jean Kuykendall of Anna, TX; brother Roland Miller Frailicks Jr. (Butch) of Atoka, OK; and sister Sandra Dale Morris of McKinney, TX.
Rose is survived by her loving husband, Roy Don Coker, of Sherman, TX; daughter Donna Miller and husband Marc Miller of Sherman, TX; daughter Sally Kerr and husband Joshua Kerr of Sherman, TX; brother James Frailicks of Celina, TX; sister Anna Guest and husband Danny Guest of Pottsboro, TX; baby brother Roy Monroe Frailicks (John Henry) and wife Pam Frailicks of Atoka, OK; grandson Garrett Clements and wife Bailey Clements of Sherman, TX; granddaughter Lydia Osterman and husband Michael Osterman of Denison, TX; granddaughter Peyton Martinez and husband Chris Martinez of Austin, TX; grandson Cahl Miller of Sherman, TX; grandson Moritz Beutler of Wegberg, Germany; and granddaughter Riahnna Kerr of Sherman, TX. Rose also has three great-grandchildren: LynnLeigh Rose Clements, Theodore William Osterman, and Zeppelyn Ember Martinez. Rose is also survived by her brother-in-law, David Kuykendall of Anna, TX, as well as many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up through Trinity Lighthouse Church Nursery Department. Please have all donations include “Rose” in the memo.
The family of Rose Coker wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Raymond, Brenda, and Gwen England; Trinity Lighthouse Church Family; Dr. Michael Isaac; Dr. Grant Craig; and the many, many friends that loved her throughout the years.
