Roy was a really nice man. He would do anything for you. I loved trucking with him at night because we kept each other awake on those long hauls to Houston going after oil field pipe. We would tell jokes and stories on a CB radio. He drove a blue Datson pickup and he seemed too big for it but it worked for him. He also owned a 1975 cab over Peterbilt with no power steering. He kept it in great working order. Then he decided he wanted a new truck so he bought a new hooded Freightliner with a big sleeper on the back. It was solid brown with cream stripes. It was a great truck and he took great pride in it. Over the years he worked for City Pipe hauling oil field equipment. Later I heard he moved to Sherman, TX where we lost track of each other. I will miss him and always remember him fondly. I have a photo of Roy with his brown truck walking by a load of casing that he just loaded. Please contact me if you want me to send it to you. Thanks! Bret Reeves
