Obituaries

Royce went home to the Lord on June 26, 2018, at the age of 68. He was born on December 10, 1949 to Ted Allen Reynolds and Anniebelle (Ramsey) Reynolds in Sherman, Texas. Royce joined the United States Air Force and served in Vietnam. He spent his career working for the City of Sherman as a caretaker for West Hill Cemetery, working for United Rental, and for Haynes Rental Equipment in Bonham. Royce loved to play Bingo. He had a unique mechanical ability, was fascinated with engines, and was very particular about the use and care of his tools and equipment. Royce took special care of his pickup truck and would not allow others to touch it. He loved his children and grandchildren immensely. He is survived by his life partner Nita Kirby of Whitewright, Texas; his children, Saundra Marie Reynolds, Eddie Allen Reynolds and girlfriend Michelle McKee, and Scotty Gene Reynolds and wife Jessica; grandchildren, Lisa Marie Carl, Casey Gear and girlfriend Alex Workman, and Anthony Gear; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Archie Reynolds and Dexter Reynolds; and many other loving nieces, nephews and extended family. Royce was preceded in death by his parents Ted and Anniebelle Reynolds; brother, Allen Reynolds; and sister in law Debbie Reynolds. There will be a graveside service on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 10am at Rosehill Cemetery in Bells, Texas. The family will greet friends at Dannel Funeral Home from 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Friday, June 29, 2018.
