Obituary For Sahar Ghadiry

A Gathering for Sahar Ghadiry, 39, who passed away April 1, 2023, at Texoma Medical Center, will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2023, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Dannel Funeral Home. The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.

Sahar was born on February 29, 1984, in Iran to Sharon and Ali Ghadiry. She was raised for several years in Tehran until the family relocated to Toronto, Canada, and eventually moved to Sherman, Texas in 1995. She graduated from Sherman High School in 2002, then attended Grayson and Collin County Colleges. She began her 20-year career at Texoma Medical Center in many different capacities before spending the last couple of years working for Dr. Aditi Swami.

Sahar was a loving mother to Brody Ray Horn and devoted to her partner, Travis. She was kind to everyone she ever met. She loved to spend time with her 3 dogs and 8 cats. She was very artistic and loved to learn different forms of expression whether it was cooking, cake decorating, or crocheting among many endeavors. She loved the outdoors and listening to all kinds of music, she was eclectic with her tastes. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her name means “The light of day before daybreaks”. It is the break of day before the dawn and that is the way she lived her life on this earth. A bright light shining everywhere she went.

Sahar was preceded in death by her infant son, Amhan Ghadiry. She is survived by her parents, her partner Travis Horn and his son Brody Horn; sister: Leila Bellows and her husband Jeff; brother: Amir Ghadiry and wife Erin; niece: Isla Ghadiry; nephews: Zach and Zane Bellows, and Nyle Ghadiry; numerous cousins and many friends.

You may sign the online guestbook at www.Dannelfuneralhome.com.

When I think of Sahar, I think of her giggle. Even though it's been years since we worked together, I recall so fondly her giggle. It is my favorite memory of her.

Sahar Ghadiry was my beautiful young fiancée. She was hardworking, loved her friends and family, and had a heart of gold always coming in with open arms and helping in any way she could. I met her in 5th grade by meeting Amir her younger brother. When I went to their house and saw her, I thought she was gorgeous. She has driven me when I was younger from different schools or home from time to time and she always had a little sass in her. We both had different journeys at the beginning. But our paths crossed later on down the road and we started dating. After about 5 years I purposed. She always loved to cook. She would make Khoresh a Persian food with tomato sauce, beef and rice with some plain yogurt. It was delicious. She would sometimes even add some green beans to it. She was very artistic loving to make cakes, color, diamond art, wood grave, and 3d print. I'll always keep her owl she colored on my wall. She didn't always have time to do it working from home on some weekends but when she did, she would be artistic for hours. We have gotten cats and dogs over the years. Given to us, showing up, rescuing, or someone we knew who needed these pets to find a home and we took them with open arms. She loved every one of our pets and they loved her. She knew my son before we started talking and she's been in his life for over ten years. Our home full of memories, items, and our family is missing its rock. I'm in complete shock that she was taken so young. My son and I have been mourning this tragedy since we lost part of our family. But there is a plan that God has and it was her time. I will always love you Hari and it hurts that your gone. But I know you're in a better place now. I will see you one day. Just not now. Enjoy seeing your son Ahman my love. Asheghetam Azizam

Sahar had one of the sweetest souls and she always had a smile on her face. She will be greatly missed. My heart goes out to her family and friends during this difficult time. Diane McLain

We didn't know that morning God was going to call your name In life we loved you dearly In death we do the same It broke our hearts to lose you You did not go alone For part of us went with you, The day God called you home You left us beautiful memories Your love is still our guide And though we cannot see you, You are always by our side. Our family chain is broken, And nothing seems the same.. But as God calls us one by one The chain will link again...I LOVE YOU LIL CUZ REST IN PEACE TIL WE MEET AGAIN...KRISTI

Q: How did you meet Sahar? A: I met Sahar when I first started working at TMC when they were at the old building. We had the best time and she taught me so much. When she left me to go to be a unit clerk was a sad day. I was still able to talk to her and we still had fun no matter where we went. She stayed with me for a little bit to get herself back on her feet. We had a lot of fun on our days off and I will miss her so much. I will miss her hugs and her love she always had when we saw each other. I love you Sahar and you will be missed dearly. It's so hard to believe you are gone. You were still young. Rest in Peace beautiful until we see each other again in heaven.
