Obituary For Sandra Lea Savering
Sandra Lea Savering, ‘Sandi’, age 77, of Denison, Texas passed peacefully into the arms of her Father and Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ at her home on December 21, 2021. The family will greet friends from 12:00 PM until 1:30 PM on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Dannel Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 28 at West Hill Cemetery in Sherman.
Sandi was born in Wichita Falls, Texas to James Clifford and Iva Mae Admire and was raised in Nocona. Sandi had a long, successful career in law enforcement. After she graduated from the police academy she served Grayson County for 25 years in various capacities as a jailer, patrol officer, detective and worked under former District Attorney Joe Brown in the domestic abuse and crimes against kids division. She retired in 2008 as the Constable for Precinct 2 in Judge James Harris’ court. In her retirement she volunteered her time to the Glory Riders, a Christian ministry equestrian group that carried out Jesus’ message of salvation at rodeos, parades and prisons.
Sandi is preceded by her parents, brothers Wilton Admire and Larry Admire and sisters Billy Reese, Margie Eldred and Sharon Murphy. She is survived by her sister Karen Dollins, her children James Watson and wife Paula, Shelley Borden, Rebecca Becvar and husband AJ, and Tammie Backus and husband Bryan along with her many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as many devoted nieces and nephews and treasured family members. Sandi will be laid to rest next to her identical twin sister, Sharon Murphy.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to DAWG - Denison Animal Welfare Group.
