Obituary For Sara Jane Lane

Sara Jane (Halliday) Lane passed away February 11, 2026. Born at St. Vincent's Sanitarium (later St. Vincent's Hospital) in Sherman, Texas, on August 9, 1931. She is survived by three sons, a daughter, a son-in-law, a son's significant other, 5 grandchildren, and two great-granddaughters. A private graveside service was held.

If desired, memorials may be made to the Sherman Ex-Students Association at PO Box 1531, Sherman, Texas 75091, or to Meals on Wheels.

    Sara was a dear friend. We meet when we both worked at Johnson & Johnson. When she went to work for J&J there was not room for her on the Purchasing dept. So she was placed in the accounting dept. and sat in front of me for several years. That was the start of a long wonderful friendship. Sara moved to Bradenton, Florida and I moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico but the friendship continued. David and I married in her living room. I will miss Sara everyday for the rest of my life.
