Obituary For Sara Renee' Stevenson
Sara Renee Stevenson March 31, 1983 – April 13, 2025
Sara Renee Stevenson, 42, of Dallas, Texas, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on April 13, 2025. Born in Denison, Texas, she was the beloved daughter of Larry Stevenson and Brenda Crow, and the cherished stepdaughter of Charlotte Stevenson and Ray Crow. Sara was a devoted sister to Brad Stevenson and sister-in-law to Maegan, and in recent years, she found special joy in being “Aunt Sara” to her niece Reilly — a role she embraced with endless love, laughter, and pride.
Sara graduated from Denison High School in 2000 and continued her studies at the University of North Texas, where she pursued Philosophy and Women’s Studies. Her academic journey reflected her deep and lifelong commitment to fairness, critical thinking, and social justice.
In her professional life, Sara brought warmth, insight, and integrity to everything she did. She built a successful career at Kendra Scott, LLC, rising to the role of Director of E-Commerce. Outside the office, she was an unwavering advocate for the causes closest to her heart — including women’s rights, reproductive freedom, LGBTQ+ equality, and animal welfare. She stood firmly in her beliefs and always spoke up for those whose voices often went unheard.
Sara’s spirit was expansive, and her love for others ran deep. She cultivated strong connections with both her extended family — aunts, uncles, cousins — and a close-knit group of friends who became her chosen family. To them, she was a loyal and radiant presence, known for her empathy, quick wit, and generous heart.
Creativity was one of Sara’s many gifts. She expressed her care through handmade treasures — from hand-knitted scarves to personalized journals — each crafted with thoughtfulness and love. Her joy for life was reflected in the many passions she pursued, always with intention and enthusiasm.
Music played a special role in Sara’s world, and she found comfort and meaning in the work of her favorite band, BTS. Their message of self-love and authenticity echoed her own ideals — values she both admired and lived by.
A committed vegan and lifelong advocate for animals, Sara’s compassion extended to all living beings. As a young woman, she volunteered at the Farm Sanctuary, where she helped care for rescued animals with tenderness and dedication. At home, she found comfort in the companionship of her beloved rescue cats — Phillip J. Fry and Jack — along with the memory of others, including her dear Benji.
Sara was a gentle force for good — a light in the lives of so many. She believed deeply in every person’s right to live authentically, love freely, and be truly seen. Though her passing leaves a profound emptiness, her legacy of kindness, courage, and sincerity will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
