Obituary For Shane Fitzgerald Obrien

Shane Fitzgerald Obrien, 37, of Dallas, passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2025 in Dallas.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 pm on Monday May 16, 2025, at Dannel Funeral Home in Sherman, Texas, with Pastor Leland Samuelson officiating and a graveside service will be held at Mountain View Cemetery in Reno, Nevada. Christina Williams will officiate Shane’s graveside service. A reception will follow the service in Sherman from 7:00 pm until 8:00 pm.

Shane was born in Orlando FL to Renee Obrien and Shaughn Obrien on May 3, 1988. He attended school at Seminole High School, and Seminole State College in Florida.

Shane is preceded in death by his sister, Jaunee Obrien, is survived by his parents and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

    I met Shane in Dallas. Under different circumstances. He was such a good guy that didn't belong at the place we were at. I stayed in touch over time but that didn't last. I'm from Chicago so time went on. I tried googling him trying to get a hold of him and left a LinkedIn message last year. Not sure he ever saw it. I've always wanted to meet up with him since I met him years ago. I just googled and clicked on this. Im so sorry brother, may you rest safely in heaven now. You have nothing left to fight. Man I wish we could've met years later. RIP Shane! David

    I'm so greatful I got the pleasure of meeting you. There's so many inside jokes and stories I'll cherish forever and my heart goes out to ur family as well. You were always there for others and dedicated so much time and love towards anyone hurting and saved so many people myself included. Truly an angel. Till we meet again Shane -Kayla Hight
