Obituary For Sharon Johnson Ghadiry

Sharon Johnson Ghadiry, 64, of Sherman, Texas, passed away on February 7, 2025, at Sherman Medical Center.

A gathering to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Dannel Funeral Home, 302 S. Walnut St, Sherman, TX 75090. The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.

Sharon was born on April 16, 1960, in Durant, Oklahoma, to Harold and Faye Johnson. She graduated from Sherman High School, Class of 1978. On April 15, 1978, she married Ali Reza Ghadiry in a ceremony held at her family home in Sherman. The couple moved to Tehran, Iran, in 1979, where they raised their three children, Leila, Sahar, and Amir. During this time, Sharon and her family traveled the world, creating cherished memories. In 1995, she returned to Sherman with her children, all of whom graduated from Sherman High School. She was a devoted mother and a pillar of strength to her family and friends.

As her children grew and began their own journeys, Sharon started working at Texoma Medical Center in December 2007 as a PBX Operator. She recently celebrated 18 years of service. She enjoyed her work, and her unique voice was a source of calmness, stability and assurance for all members of the healthcare team.

Sharon had a deep love for dogs and enjoyed cooking, reading, crocheting, attending concerts, and listening to music. She also had a passion for shopping, garage sales, and finding the best bargains.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Sahar Ghadiry; infant grandson, Ahman Ghadiry; sisters, Kathryn Elaine and Angela Sue; father, Harold Johnson; niece, Sheida Keyani; and grandparents, Henry and Verta Mae Nazworth, and Robert and Verdie Johnson of Durant, Oklahoma.

She is survived by her daughter, Leila, and her husband, Jeff Bellows; her son, Amir, and his wife, Erin Ghadiry; her mother, Faye Johnson; and her sister, Teresa Dansby. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Zachary Bellows, Zane Bellows, Nyle Ghadiry, and Isla Ghadiry, as well as her bonus grandchildren, Cavin Bellows and Tyler Bellows. She will be deeply missed by her nieces, Kristi Nelson and Angel Campbell; her nephews, Thomas Hanley and Stephen Lewis; and many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to Heart-to-Heart Hospice Foundation.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Dr. Abraham, the staff at Sherman Medical Center, and Heart-to-Heart Hospice of Sherman. They also wish to express their appreciation for the support and kindness of their Texoma Medical Center family.

Sharon I will miss our late night talks. Although I left TMC as PBX operator after working with you for almost 10 years, you and I could always pick up in conversation where we had left off before. You helped me through so very much in the years that we shared our friendship. You will forever be in my heart. Your family will be in my prayers and thoughts.
