Obituary For Sharon Langford

Sharon Ann Langford, 70, of Tom Bean, left this sin-filled, sorrowful world for a land described in God's word in The Revelation 21:4 as follows: And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. No services are planned at this time, but her family will receive friends at Dannel Funeral Home on Thursday, February 5, 2015, between 5:00-7:00 p.m. Sharon was born March 5, 1944, in White Mound, Texas to Perry Alton Jr. and Elwanda Maddox Jones. She graduated Tom Bean High School in 1962. She was married to Ronnie Langford on June 20, 1961 in Poteau, OK. They were blessed with three children. Sharon had worked for Gibson Discount Stores, and was also retired from Texas Instruments. She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Tom Bean, where she was active in the Christian education programs during her younger years. Sharon was a 67 year cancer survivor, having had a malignant kidney removed at the age of three years. Sharon rarely lamented her condition despite some serious illnesses during her lifetime. She never doubted the soul saving grace of Jesus Christ. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, one infant son James M. Langford, and one brother P.A. Jones, III. Survivors include her beloved husband of over 53 years, Ronnie; daughter Marla Jane Horman; sons, Marlon James Langford and wife Heidalisa, and John Mark Langford; grandchildren: Cindy, Blake, Kayla, Perry, Harley, Justin, Samantha, Sara, Sophia and Owen; great-grandchildren: Sydne, Lizzie, Presley, Landen and Adeline; one nephew, James Jones and many in-laws and cousins. Without a doubt, her grandchildren were her inspiration for living! She cared for her grandchildren more than life and was delighted to be in their presence. In lieu of flowers and other remembrances, the family would be especially honored with contributions to assist with Sharon's final expenses. These may be mailed to PO Box 745 in Tom Bean, TX (75489).
