Obituary For Steve George Salicos
Steve George Salicos, 73, of Denison, passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 12, 2021 at Dannel Funeral Home at 1:00 PM. Pastor Paul Armstrong will officiate. Interment will follow at West Hill Cemetery in Sherman and the United States Army will accord honors. The family will greet friends on Thursday, February 11, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Steve was born on June 24, 1947 in Ft. Worth, Texas to Temoleon George and Eloise Hoggard Salicos. He attended schools in Ft. Worth and Iowa before graduating from Boyd High School. Upon graduating, Steve enlisted in the United States Army and served in Vietnam. When he returned to the states, he was stationed at Ft. Hood in Texas. Steve earned his degree in welding and worked his way up to owning his own business and retired in June of 2012. The very next day he married his pretty princess, Rhonda LaBree and they had 5 grandkids that he adored along with his daughter, son in law and countless friends. Steve was very rich because the love he had from his family and friends. Steve is survived by his wife, Rhonda; daughter, Cassie Branton and husband Kevin of Sadler; 5 grandchildren: Wyatt, Kandyn, Kabri, Kinzie, and Kash; 3 sisters: Cindi Miller and husband Chip of Rhome, TX, Gina Seely and significant other Mike of Austin, Pamela Salicos Ramirez of Ft. Worth; brother, Charles Glen Tingle of Ft. Worth; many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews. Steve is preceded in death by his parents and sister Madeline Kay Vest. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation, MichaelJfox.org.
