Tammy Lynn Curtis-Betterton, 48, died February 15, 2016 at Medical Center of McKinney in McKinney, Texas. Dannel Funeral Home in Sherman, TX, is in charge of arrangements. Services will be held Thursday February 18, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at the Dannel Funeral Home Chapel in Sherman, TX. Interment will be held at Wilson Chapel Cemetery in Lowry Crossing following services. Family visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday February 17, 2016 at 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tammy was born in Sherman, TX, on June 23, 1967, to Richard Lynn Curtis and Dianna Lynn (Teague) Curtis; she grew up in Plano and attended school in Plano, Winston Academy, and Heritage Christian Academy in Dallas, TX. She was a dedicated worker for the United States Postal Service and a Union Representative in Anna, TX. Tammy was preceded in death by her grandparents; Gene and Stella Teague, Stanley and Pauline Curtis, great grandparents Clifton and Jo Teague, Aunt Connie Teague Borg, uncles; Jomax Shelton, and Randy Hulsey, Cousin Warren W. Curtis, Jr. She is survived by her husband David W. Betterton, her parents Richard Lynn and Dianna Lynn (Teague) Curtis, daughter, Lyndsey Curtis Howard, sisters, Kay Lynn Curtis Rhodes and husband John of Lewisville, TX; Patty Lynn Curtis Mayo and husband Sean of Lucas, TX; Kathryn Lynn Curtis Harder and husband Todd of Allen, TX; stepson Kyle Betterton and Erica of Arlington, TX; Brandon Betterton and wife Kim of Greenville, TX; five grandchildren: Laykon Curtis Howard, Elizabeth Betterton, Sawyer Betterton, Savanna Betterton, Harper Betterton, and seven nieces and nephews: Ashton Harder, Marshall Mayo, Madison Rhodes, Peyton Harder, Morgan Rhodes, Parker Mayo, and Claire Mayo. Aunts and Uncles: Stellagene Teague Shelton, of Sherman, TX, Mike and Kathy Teague, of Plano, TX, Pat and Debbie Teague of Frisco, TX, Warren and Ranae Curtis of Shalimar, FL, and Kandy Curtis Hulsey of Rowlett, TX, great aunt and uncle Orville and Bobbie Todd of Henderson, TX, and fifteen cousins.
