Obituary For Teresa Marie Norris

Teresa Marie Norris departed this life on Friday, July 11, 2025, at the age of 65. She is now with her Lord and Savior in Heaven.

She was raised by her mom, Lawanna Sue Tharp. She was born Heidelberg, Germany on the Army base. She grew up in California. Then moved to Garland, Texas where she finished high school. She ended up in Sherman years later where her mother, Sue, resided and other family. She raised her children and was a wonderful caregiver. She married Charley Scott Norris 32 years ago, which were the best years of her life. They had a great marriage and loved each other dearly. They were the love of each other's life.

Teresa worked hard to take care of her family and to put them first. For the last 10 years she has managed Highport Inn, in Pottsboro, with the help of her husband and son. She loved her friends that she had made in the church. She had come so close to all the women in her Bible study.

Teresa was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, whose presence brought warmth and comfort to everyone she knew. She is survived by her loving husband, Charley, and her children-- Christina Glover, Matthew Glover and wife Jana, and John Glover, who will carry her spirit forward with love and gratitude. Teresa's siblings were Sheryl Key, Joe Pickering, and Jim Pickering. Teresa and Sheryl were very close and could count on each other through thick and thin. She also loved Sheryl's boy and their families. She also will be missed by her grandchildren that she loved and adored.

Teresa was a very hardworking and loving person. She was a giving grandmother, woman, mother, aunt, and friend, to many. In her free time, she enjoyed going to the movies and playing pinball with John, and she had a passion for her cats. Teresa will be remembered for her strength, her kindness, and the unwavering love she gave to her family. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

Teresa was a very special part of our family. She cared for my mom Nancy Philpot for 5 years before her passing at 101. My mom loved Teresa. And we all knew that she was well taken care of daily in our home. Give Nanny a big hug from me when you see her on the other side. Rest in peace sweet Teresa.
