Obituaries

Terry Lee Urquhart, 73, of Pottsboro, Texas, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 23, 2015 at the Texoma Medical Center. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 26, 2015, from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at Dannel Funeral Home, 302 S. Walnut St. in Sherman. Funeral services are scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Friday, March 27th, at Lakeway United Methodist Church, 15015 TX 289 N., Pottsboro, TX (75076). Chaplain Terry Dyer will officiate. Interment will follow immediately afterward in Georgetown Cemetery. Terry as born June 1, 1941 in Ft. Worth, Texas to Lee and Doris Urquhart, and grew up in Irving, Texas but lived most of his life in Grayson County. He was a passionate man who enjoyed owning his own business for 25 years. In 1976, he opened Lamar Gardens Nursery and Landscaping Services in Paris, Texas and eventually moved his business to Sherman in 1984 where he retired in 2001. The most joyous times for Terry were spent on his boat at Lake Texoma with his children, grandchildren and their many friends. He also enjoyed Cowboy football, woodworking and watching TV. Terry is survived by his wife and best friend of 45 years, Patricia (Tricia) Houck Urquhart, his four children: Kelli Urquhart Harvey and her husband Bob, of Houston, Kreg Urquhart and his wife Sandra, of Bryan, Casey Urquhart, of Pottsboro and Kris Urquhart and his wife Kristi, of Pottsboro; ten grandchildren: Lindsey Harvey Jordan and her husband Shaun, of Austin, Ty Harvey, of Houston, Rex Urquhart, of Arlington, Christian and Trace Urquhart of Bryan, Landry Urquhart, Chloe Urquhart and Ryder Urquhart all of Pottsboro, Baylen and Brennan Bayless, of Pottsboro. Memorial donations are appreciated to the Air Chapel, 320 King Ave. in Denison, TX (75020).
