Obituary For Thomas "Mike" Michael Jones

Thomas Michael (Mike) Jones, 82, of Sherman, Texas, passed away on March 21, 2023 at his residence in Sherman, Texas.

Visitation will be 6 pm to 7:30 pm on Thursday, March 23rd at Dannel Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held 2 PM Friday, March 24th at Gunter Cemetery with the Pastor David Murphy of North Park Baptist Church of Sherman Texas, officiating. Arrangements are by Dannel Funeral Home.

Mike was born Griffin, Georgia to Arlin Thomas Jones and Ruby Alma Hamlett on January 16, 1941. He went to school at Griffin Georgia. He married Betty Jo Wilson on September 16, 1965 in Durant, Oklahoma. He worked as a maintenance technician for the Texas Department of Transportation for 28 years, at which time he retired. He was an Air Force veteran during the Vietnam conflict and served in the Philippines. His hobby was the construction and flight of radio controlled model airplanes.

Mike is preceded in death by his mother and father, his brother Larry Jones, daughter Brenda Roberts and grandson Dylan Jones.

Mike is survived by his wife Betty, son Thomas and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren and innumerable friends.
